Artist Profile

Damien is a multi-talented motion director, designer, and illustrator with 10 years experience. He is considered both a design thinker and craftsman. He has a BFA in Multimedia from the University of Arts in Philadelphia. He currently serves as an associate professor of Design at The New School in NYC. 

In the retail space, he has worked with Urban Outfitters and Zoo York as a senior in-house designer as well as a consultant to Kate Spade and other boutique luxury brands. His work scope includes identity, advertising, digital, store display,  retail installations, and product development.

Damien is also an award winning illustrator for both commercial and fine art projects. His work has a Corbusier-esque style and has been featured in high profile pubs like New York Magazine, XLR8R, Economist, New York Times Magazine and IdN.

Most recently, he was an Art Director at Tumblr working on new templates and overall design. He has been a a regular consultant with IDEO and Nike on innovation and design projects. Currently, he is a designer at Google.

Ford
Artist Role: Art Direction

Zoo York
Artist Role: Designer

Done in collaboration with Mike Perry, who Damien has worked on several zines, prints, and other acclaimed art projects alongside. The tag team duo's series of Zoo York pro models feature custom graphics that are a playful spin on NYC's iconic landmarks, renowned architecture, and bustling neighborhoods. From Coney Island, Times Square, and the East River, to the Brooklyn Bridge, Flatiron District, and Chrysler Building, their Artist Series provides a unique visual narrative on the Big Apple.

Sit And Read
Artist Role: Design Director

Website and merchandise for the Brooklyn based creative agency. Since establishing the retail side of Sit and Read in 2008, principal Kyle Garner has launched a line of contemporary furniture under the Sit and Read brand, worked as a Consultant, Creative Director, and Interior Designer on projects with Inventory, Neighbour, Mount Analog, Hermes, The Hillside, d'Ussé, Converse and others.
